Doncaster Mile runner-up Comin’ Through, the emphatic Tom Melbourne, dual Oaks winner Egg Tart, and overseas imports One Foot In Heaven and Satono Rasen make up five of the nineteen nominations for the weight for age A.D. Hollindale Stakes.

Comin’ Through was fairly consistent during the 2017 Sydney Autumn Carnival and after winning the Group 2 $200,000 Hyland Race Colours Ajax Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on March 17, went on to run second to Happy Clapper in the Group 1 $3m The Star Doncaster Mile (1600m) on day one of The Championships at Randwick on April 7 followed by a fifth, seven days later, to Winx in the Group 1 $4m Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at Randwick.

Tom Melbourne is also coming through the Sydney Autumn Carnival and heads to Queensland on the back of an eighth to Trapeze Artist in the Group 1 $600,000 Schweppes All Aged Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on April 21.

The James Cummings trained It’s Somewhat is among the nominations and the 2017 Doncaster Mile winner will be trying to win back to back A.D. Hollindale Stakes trophies after leading all the way to claim victory last year.

I’s Somewhat hasn’t visited the winner’s stall since with his best effort being a third behind Tosen Stardom and Happy Clapper in the Group 1 $2m Emirates Stakes (2000m) at Flemington during the 2017 Melbourne Spring Carnival and the seven year old has had one run back from a spell for a sixth to Trapeze Artist in the All Aged Stakes.

The well performed mare Oregon’s Day from the Mick Price stable is also nominated for the A.D. Hollindale Stakes and was Group 1 placed during the Sydney Autumn Carnival with a second to Daysee Doom in the Group 1 $600,000 Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill on March 17.

Oregon’s Day was runner up again in the Group 2 $200,000 Jim Beam Emancipation Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on March 31 followed by a fourth to Alizee in the Group 1 $1m Coolmore Legacy Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on April 14.
