Newly inducted Hall Of Fame trainer Chris Waller will saddle up five fillies in the 2018 Group 1 $500,000 Treasury Brisbane Queensland Oaks (2200m) at Doomben on Saturday.

Waller’s top two in pecking order are Youngstar and Another Dollar who are set to clash again after running the quinella in their final Queensland Oaks lead up run in the Group 2 $175,000 Magic Millions The Roses (2000m) at Doomben on May 12.

Both fillies have drawn favourably with Youngstar coming up with barrier four in the final sixteen horse Queensland Oaks field with Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle again while Another Dollar will jump from barrier two for Glyn Schofield.

Savacool is the worst drawn of Waller’s five runners and jump from gate twelve with James McDonald booked to ride.

Savacool has made the long trip up from Adelaide after finishing seventh in the Group 1 $500,000 Schweppes Oaks (Australasian Oaks) (2000m) at Morphettville on May 5 and will be stepping up to the 2200m of the Queensland Oaks for the first time.

The remaining two Waller fillies are both stepping up in class and distance with Impulsive to jump from gate six with Corey Brown to ride while Miss Shanti has drawn the rails with Tye Angland on top.

The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra trained Sheezdashing and Ciaron Maher’s Group 1 winner Aloisia are also coming off a run in the Australasian Oaks.

Damien Thornton will stick with Sheezdashing who was runner up in the Australasian Oaks and will jump from barrier three in the Queensland Oaks while Aloisia, who finished sixth at Morphettville, has drawn in the middle of the field at barrier seven with Damian Browne booked to ride.

The Anthony Freedman trained Coral Coast has drawn the outside barrier at sixteen with Mark Zahra retaining the ride after the pair finished fourth in The Roses.
