Winx will be chasing her twenty-seventh straight win and her twentieth Group 1 trophy when she lines up in the Group 1 $500,000 Colgate Optic White (George Main) Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on Saturday.

The Chris Waller trained super star is posted as the $1.10 favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au to achieve a hat trick of George Main Stakes wins while her stablemate Unforgotten is sharing the second line of betting at $13 with multiple Group 1 winner Le Romain.

Winx looks unbeatable again after returning from a spell with another emphatic win in the Group 1 $500,000 Winx Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on August 18 while Unforgotten was back in the winner’s stall with a stunning victory in the Group 2 $250,000 Bisley Workwear Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on September 1.

Waller is setting Winx towards winning an historic fourth straight Group 1 $5m Ladbrokes Cox Plate (2040m) at The Valley on October 27 but has earmarked the Epsom Handicap as Unforgotten’s main Sydney Spring Carnival goal.

“Following careful consideration, it has been decided that Unforgotten will be targeted towards the Epsom Handicap on September 29 before considering options available to her in Melbourne,” Waller said in a press release on twitter.

“At this stage she is likely to feature in the 2018 Caulfield Cup however further assessment will be made following her Epsom start.”

“She has come through her stunning win in the Chelmsford Stakes in excellent order and she has been accepted in the George Main Stakes on Saturday.”

Waller will saddle five of the eight runners in the George Main Stakes and as well as Winx and Unforgotten, Who Shot Thebarman, Religify and Egg Tart will be representing the stable.

Hugh Bowman will once again be aboard Winx who has drawn barrier three while Unforgotten will jump from gate four with Glyn Schofield in the saddle.

Unforgotten is on the second line of betting at $6 for the Epsom Handicap at Ladbrokes.com.au behind another Waller trained galloper, D’Argento, who sits at the top of the market order at $5.
