Stick it on ya jumper, a day out for the “pumper”

Jockey Jim ‘pumper’ Cassidy, 48, who has had great success, controversy and significant injuries throughout his career, turned back the clock with four-timer at Rosehill today.

Cassidy jumped quickly, riding the first two winners on the card – Faustus ($11) and Colorado Claire ($2.70).

He hit again with Oakfield Beauty ($7.50) in race four and finally Lightenthenite ($4.40) in race seven.

Cassidy a dual Melbourne Cup winning rider on Kiwi (1983) and Might And Power (1997) seemingly is riding better than ever.

Cassidy’s quartet included three winners for trainer John O’Shea, the other, Oakfield Beauty, for Darren Smith.

In Melbourne, Craig Williams also rode four winners Maximus Moonard, Under The Eiffel, So Swift and Hi Belle.

So Swift won the main race, the Group 2 Sandown Guineas on the Sandown Hillside.
