The 2016 The Vanity field has been released and a number of the most talented fillies in Australia are set to do battle in the Group 3 event this weekend.

Western Australian filly Perfect Reflection has put together a flawless record since she made her racing debut at Pinjarra in September of last year and she went on to beat star mare Delicacy to take out the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot on December 5.
Perfect Reflection will make her debut for new trainer Darren Weir in The Vanity and she is set to press on to the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on March 5.
Another filly that is set to take winning form into The Vanity is Jameka, who was one of the star fillies of the 2015 Spring Racing Carnival.
Jameka finished second behind Stay With Me in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on October 10 and she went on to record impressive wins in the Group 2 The Vase (2040m) at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day and the Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m) at Flemington on November 5.
Perfect Reflection and Jameka will both carry the top weight of 58.5 kilograms under the set weights plus penalties conditions of The Vanity, while Sacred Eye and Don’t Doubt Mamma will both carry 57.5 kilograms.
Sacred Eye has had just five career starts, but she performed well without winning in the Group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on October 4 and she took out the Group 3 Ladbrokes Caulfield Classic (2000m) on October 17 before she failed to handle the wet track in the Crown Oaks.
Don’t Doubt Mamma scored a maiden win at black-type level in the Listed Lexus Hybrid Plate (1400m) at Flemington on November 3 and she was sent to the spelling paddock after she finished third behind Mahuta and Dal Cielo in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas (1600m) on November 14.
Godolphin filly Italy (barrier eight), the talented Alaskan Rose (barrier three), Mark Kavanagh-trained Egypt (barrier five), last start winner Stylemaker (barrier four) and debut winner Euro Angel (barrier seven) have also been included in the 2016 The Vanity field and will carry the limit weight of 55 kilograms.
Notable recent winners of The Vanity include future Caulfield Cup winner Southern Speed (2011), David Hayes-trained Alzora (2013), talented mare Solicit (2014) and Peter Moody-trained Sweet And Speedy (2015).
