Invincibella raced up to her consistent form to come from back near the tail of the field to overpower the leaders to record a narrow but solid win and will now head towards the Group 1 $500,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Club Tiara (1350m) at Doomben in a fortnight.

“Timed to perfection,” Waller said.

“A great patient ride from an awkward barrier and summed things up to make sure she got there on the line.”

Invincibella jumped from barrier fourteen in the fifteen horse field with winning jockey James McDonald electing to go back towards the tail of the field.

Invincibella ($5.50 equal favourite) had plenty of work to do when heads were turned for home and just when Prompt Response ($9.50) and Moss Trip ($5.50 equal favourite) set down to fight out the finish, the Waller trained I Am Invincible mare swooped on the leaders to record a narrow but impressive win.

Prompt Response was able to kick to hold on for second with Moss Trip also fighting to the finish to fill third spot with Siren’s Fury also running on from back in the field for fourth.
