A field of seven will line up in the weight for age Chipping Norton Stakes which will be made up of Happy Clapper, Winx and five of her Chris Waller trained stablemates Patrick Erin, Libran, Brimham Rocks, Egg Tart and Unforgotten.

Winx is the crowd puller as she will attempt to win her thirty-first race in succession and trainer Pat Webster can’t see his charge Happy Clapper turning the tables after running a brave second to the super star mare in the Group 2 $250,000 The Star Apollo Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on February 16.

“He came through the Apollo Stakes well and hopefully he can run second to Winx again. He can’t beat her on what she showed in the Apollo,” Webster told AAP.

“If he runs second he is on target for other races including the All-Star Mile.”

Winx is the winner of the last three runnings of the Chipping Norton Stakes and is marked at $1.07 at Ladbrokes.com.au to make it four on the trot while Happy Clapper is on the second line of betting at $6.50.

Regular rider Hugh Bowman will once again be aboard Winx who has drawn barrier four in the seven horse Chipping Norton Stakes field while Blake Shinn will replace Sam Clipperton on Happy Clapper who will jump from gate three.
