Golden Slipper Stakes fancy Estijaab is included in the first acceptances for the 2018 Group 2 $600,000 Percy Sykes Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on April 14.

The Team Hawkes trained Estijaab is one of seventy two-year-old fillies still in contention for the Percy Sykes Stakes on day two of The Championship and is the current $6.50 favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au.

Estijaab is also the $7 equal second favourite for the 2018 Group 1 $3.5m Longines Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on March 24.

The Snitzel filly has put herself in the running for the major Autumn Carnival two year old feature races with a close second to Sunlight in the Group 2 $250,000 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on February 24 followed by a win in the Group 2 $300,000 Daily Telegraph Reisling Stakes (1200m) at Randwick last Saturday.

As well as Estijaab, the Hawkes Racing Team have also accepted with the Sepoy filly Sundabans for the Percy Sykes Stakes.

The Lindsay Park Team of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig have eight fillies among the first acceptances for the Percy Sykes Stakes, headed up by Blue Diamond Stakes runner up Enbihaar.

Tulloch Lodge co-trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott also have strong representation in the Percy Skyes Stakes with twelve fillies among the first acceptances.

The best fancied of the Waterhouse and Bott fillies in the Ladbrokes.com.au market order is the well performed Setsuna who is marked at $13.

The final field for the 2018 Percy Sykes Stakes will be released on Tuesday, April 10.
