Capitalist stamped himself as a juvenile to follow when he made up plenty of ground late to record an impressive victory in a barrier trial over 838 metres at Royal Randwick on September 21 and he justified his short-priced quote to make his racing debut with a very comfortable victory in the Listed Breeders Plate (1000m) at Royal Randwick on October 3.

Team Snowden elected to send Capitalist straight to the spelling paddock following his debut win, but he confirmed his status as the clear favourite for the $2 million Magic Millions Classic with an outstanding performance in a barrier trial over 900 metres at Rosehill Gardens on December 8.

Capitalist is joined in the 2015 Wyong Magic Millions Classic field by stablemate Niccolance and the Nicconi colt is currently on the second line of betting at quote of $4.60.

Niccolance performed well in two barrier trials before he made his racing debut in the Surf Meets Turf Plate (1000m) at Royal Randwick on December 5 and he arguably would have won the race if he had not hung out from the 600 metre mark before he ran out abruptly towards the outside fence in the final 100 metres of the race.

The only other horse that is available at single figure Wyong Magic Millions Classic odds is Conchita, who is currently available at a quote of $8.50.

Conchita made her first public appearance with a dominant three lengths victory in a barrier trial over 800 metres at Newcastle on September 22 and he took that form to the races with record a strong victory in the Antler Luggage Kirkham Plate (1000m) at Royal Randwick on October 10.

While Capitalist is the dominant favourite in the Wyong Magic Millions Classic betting market with Ladbrokes, the early market mover has been debutant Tickling, who has been backed from $26 into $21.

Tickling was unable to win a barrier trial over 845 metres at Wyong on December 2, but he still did enough to convince some punters that he should start at a slightly shorter price in the 2015 Wyong Magic Millions Classic.

The Wyong Magic Millions Classic betting market is rounded out by Preferito ($17), Magical Milly ($21), Claro El Banco ($26), Aghna ($26), Mandalong Benet ($51) and Mandalong Belle ($71).
