All Silent will be first-up in the Tramway Handicap after a three month spell

Grahame Begg will race two of his best stable talents against each other when he lines up both All Silent and Secret Admirer in Saturday’s $125,000 Tramway Handicap at Warwick Farm.

Eight-year-old All Silent will be first-up in the Tramway Handicap after a three month spell.

Begg believes the Belong To Me gelding’s recent barrier trial win was reminiscent of his old winning form.

“He had a nice trial last Friday, he seemed pretty sharp in it,” Begg said.

“He showed something like his old form.”

The trainer was disappointed when the race meet was switched from Randwick Racecourse to Warwick Farm due to safety concerns.

“It changes the whole dynamics of the way the races are run,” Begg said.

“There may only be pretty slow speed.

“He may be able to be race…mid field.”

Despite the switch in venue, Begg is hopeful All Silent will perform at his best this weekend.

“He looks great,” he said.

“He’s in great condition, I was just pleased to see him come back and trial as well as he did.”

Four-year-old mare Secret Admirer has already proved she is at the prime of her career by finishing a close second in the Listed Toy Show Quality last start.

The Dubawi mare will be competing amongst open company for the first time in her five-start career.

“She’s a very good filly and she’s… going to open company for the first time,” Begg said.

“We think that she’ll perform very well Saturday.

“I feel that she’s really come on, her work was very sharp on Tuesday morning.”

Secret Admirer has already accumulated close to $300,000 in prize money and has a Group 1 Coolmore Flight Stakes win to her name.
