Inglis Sires’ winner Yankee Rose will have to pass a full veterinary examination before continuing on with her preparation to run first up in the Group 1 $1m Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on September 10.

Sunshine Coast trainer David Vandyke revealed that Yankee Rose had pulled up with some inflammation in her near fore fetlock after an early morning gallop on Tuesday.
The Group 1 winning filly will now undergo a full vet check on Wednesday before Vandyke gives her the all clear to continue her Spring campaign.
“She worked below par yesterday morning in her gallop and her near side fetlock blew up after the work out,” Vandyke told RSN’s Racing Ahead.
“We had a wrap on it and it is much improved today, however we have got the vet coming to do some scans and possible x-rays at about eleven o’clock to see where we are up to.”
“She’ll undergo a full examination. My gut’s telling me we’ll be ok.”
“I think she’s just wrenched a joint in the gallop.
“I’ll swim her and hopefully we’ll get some good news.
“In my mind I haven’t ruled out trialling her next Tuesday.”
Yankee Rose has been giving Vandyke plenty of concerns in the lead up to her return to the racetrack and disappointed the stable with a lacklustre trial over 850m at the Sunshine Coast on August 2.
The one time Golden Rose Stakes favourite regained some stable confidence with a win in a 1270m jump out last week and Vandyke said Yankee Rose was back on track to head to Sydney for the Group 1 for the three year olds.
Yankee Rose jumped into the spotlight with a first up second to Capitalist in the Group 1 $3.5m Longines Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill during the Sydney Autumn Carnival and then went one better to win the Group 1 $1m Inglis Sires’ (1400m) at Randwick on April 2.
The All American filly was then set to start the short priced favourite for Group 1 $500,000 Moet & Chandon Champagne Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on April 16 and give Vandyke his second Group 1 success, but he was forced to scratch her after she developed a foot abscess.
Vandyke then relocated his training operation from Warwick Farm in Sydney to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland with Yankee Rose as his stable flag bearer.
Yankee Rose has drifted from the top of the Goldden Rose Stakes market order at Ladbrokes.com.au to be on the fourth line of betting at $11 with the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained El Divino and Mediterranean from the Peter and Paul Snowden stable.
The Team Hawkes trained Divine Prophet has jumped to the top of the market order at $7 with Chris Waller’s Omei Sword just ahead of Impending at $8 and Divine’s Prophet’s stablemate Star Turn at $9.
