Trainer Chris Waller has planned for Winx to have her swansong race day appearance in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes but has also entered her in the Coolmore Legacy Stakes for the fillies and mares as a backup if the campaign doesn’t go to plan.

One hundred and nine horses have been nominated for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes while one hundred and twenty-four fillies and mares have been entered for the Coolmore Legacy Stakes.

Winx resumes for her 2019 Autumn Carnival campaign this Saturday in the Group 2 $250,000 Apollo Stakes (1400m) at Randwick and is chasing her thirtieth win on the trot.

Waller has mapped out a four run Autumn Carnival campaign for Winx which could see her win the Queen Elizabeth Stakes for the third year in succession.

Other Group 1 races at Randwick on Day Two of The Championships are the $2m Schweppes Sydney Cup (3200m), (128 nominations) and the $1m Heineken 3 Australian Oaks (2400m) (139 nominations).
