Winx completely dominates the market order at Ladbrokes.com.au and after opening up at $1.45 when the final field was released on Wednesday, has firmed into $1.35 on Thursday afternoon.

The 2015 Cox Plate winner took her latest winning sequence to six with a first up victory in the Group 2 $250,000 Optus Business Apollo Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on February 13 with Hugh Bowman in the saddle.

Bowman has established a great association with the glamour mare, including her three Group 1 wins and will be aboard again in the weight for age Chipping Norton Stakes.

Waller has reported that Winx has trained on well since her Apollo Stakes victory and he can’t fault her.

“Winx has come through her first up run well,” Waller said.

“Worked well, looks terrific. She is ready to go. Loves the distance, likes the track.”

At her previous start the Street Cry mare scored a runaway four and three quarter lengths win over Criterion in the Group 1 $3m Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley during the 2015 Melbourne Spring Carnival.

The Cox Plate win was Winx’s third Group 1 victory after she claimed the trophy in the $500,000 Treasury Casino & Hotel Queensland Oaks (2200m) at Doomben during the Brisbane Winter Carnival followed by a win in the Group 1 $1m The Star 150th Epsom (1600m) at Randwick on October 3.

Waller also has strength in numbers in the Chipping Norton Stakes and will also saddle up 2014 Victoria Derby winner Preferment, 2014 Melbourne Cup placegetter Who Shot Thebarman, 2015 Sydney Cup winner Grand Marshall and English import Storm The Stars.

Early market order for the Chipping Norton Stakes at Ladbrokes.com.au: $1.35 Winx, $7 Hartnell, $14 Mongolian Khan, $15 Dibayani, $16 Hauraki, $26 Storm The Stars, $31 Magic Hurricane, $41 Centre Pivot, $81 Preferment, $101 Gust Of Wind, $126 Who Shot Thebarman, $151 Grand Marshall.
