Ladbrokes.com.au has installed Winx as the $1.10 favourite for the Warwick Stakes with her nearest rival in the betting being the Kris Lees trainer Invincible Gem at $10.

Winx’s stablemates who are nominated for the Warwick Stakes are all at double figure odds with Foxplay at $14, Antonio Giuseppe at $21 and Who Shot Thebarman the outsider of the field at $201.

Winx will be having her first run back since winning the Group 1 $4m Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at Randwick on April 8 and trainer Chris Waller said the mare will be picture perfect for her return following a surprise barrier trial win over 1000m at Randwick on August 8.

“That will just take the edge off of her and see her at the Warwick Stakes in picture perfect order,” Waller told the press conference following Winx’s trial win.

Winx’s main 2017 Spring Carnival target will be to chase her third consecutive win in the Group 1 $3m Ladbrokes Cox Plate (2040m) at The Valley on October 28.

The other three Waller trained Warwick Stakes nominations, Foxplay, Antonio Giuseppe and Who Shot TheBarman are all resuming in the Warwick Stakes for their Spring Carnival campaigns.

Newcastle trained mare Invincible Gem continued on with her great Autumn Carnival form when she kicked off her Spring Carnival campaign with a win in the Group 2 $200,000 Missile Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on August 5.

Early betting for the Warwick Stakes at Ladbrokes.com.au: $1.10 Winx, $10 Invincible Gem, $14 Foxplay, $21 Antonio Giuseppe, Ecuador, $26 Inference, $31 Harper’s Choice, $101 Allergic, Red Excitement, Zanbagh, $201 Who Shot Thebarman.
