The Adrian and Harry Bull trained William Wallace has had plenty of support at Ladbrokes.com.au with his price tumbling in from $21 to $10 on Friday morning.

William Wallace will be chasing a hat trick following a win over the same course and distance as the Glasshouse Handicap in a BenchMark 75 Handicap on June followed by a win in a 1350m BenchMark 75 Handicap at Ipswich on Ipswich Cup Day on June 17.

Kiwi jockey Kelly McCulloch takes over the reins from Tegan Harrison on William Wallace who will jump from barrier twelve in the field that has been reduced to fourteen runners following the early scratching of New South Wales sprinter The Monstar.

Scone trainer Brett Cavanough has also entered The Monstar in the Listed $150,000 Civic Stakes (1350m) at Rosehill and decided to keep six year old in Sydney on Saturday.

McCulloch is keen on the chances of William Wallace but admits that the step up in class will be tougher assignment for the Darci Brahma gelding.

“He couldn’t have been any more impressive last start. He’s always been a pretty decent horse but he’ll have to be the real deal this weekend,” McCulloch told the New Zealand Racing Desk.

McCulloch also rides the Adrian and Harry Bull trained Benzini in the Listed $175,000 The Pump House Caloundra Cup (2400m) on the same program.

The Glasshouse Handicap has turned into a wide open betting race at Ladbrokes.com.au with the Desleigh Forster trained Too Good To Refuse heading the market order at $6.

Sharing the second line of betting at $7 are last year’s Glasshouse Handicap winner Flamboyer and the talented The Virginian with the Bruce Hill trained Man Of His Word also in contention at $8.

Too Good To Refuse has produced some good Winter Carnival form that has seen him finish a close second to Miss Gunpowder in the Listed $100,000 Makers Mark Hinkler Handicap (1200m) at Doomben on June 10 followed by a fast finishing third to Burning Passion in the Group 3 $175,000 W.J. Healy Stakes (1200m) at Doomben last Saturday.

Robbie Fradd has been aboard Too Good To Refuse for his last two starts and gets the ride again in the Glasshouse Handicap.
