Hidden Kisses was able to hold off the more fancied stablemate Royal Descent who peaked on her run at the 50m mark after making a long run from near the tail of the field.

Glyn Schofield had Hidden Kisses buried away mid race and after getting a split in the straight went to the line strongly to make it two wins from two starts for the Waller stable.

Royal Descent was having her first run since winning the Group 1 $550,000 Patinack Farm Australian Oaks (2400m) at Randwick on April 20 and Waller was pleased with the run.

“She got there so easy, you expected her to career away, but obviously that’s the oxygen factor. She got a little bit tired but she will derive a lot of benefit from the run,” Waller said.

Waller will map out a plan for Royal Descent which will take her to the Group 1 $2.65m BMW Caulfield Cup (2400m) at Caulfield on October 19 and the Group 1 $6.2m Emirates Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington on November 5.
