Vain Queen is available at 2015 Robert Sangster Stakes odds of $4.60 and is currently a clear favourite in betting markets for the Group 1 event that will be held at Morphettville on Saturday.

Vain Queen performed strongly without winning in both the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) and Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) this preparation, but bookmakers are confident that she can return to winning form in the Robert Sangster Stakes and score a maiden victory at the highest level of racing.
The winning chances of Vain Queen were not enhanced when she was allocated barrier 13 when the 2015 Robert Sangster Stakes field was released yesterday, but trainer John Sadler is hopeful that the talented mare can overcome the wide draw.
“It’s definitely not ideal, but there’s a nice straight run to the first turn and we have to deal with what we’ve been dealt,” Sadler said.
“She can’t go forward from there because it’ll just burn her out, so she’s going to be ridden back in the field.
“She’s the sort of filly that could bounce and be running fourth or fifth, but because she’s drawn 13 she’s going to have to be back running 10th or 11th.
“That probably simplifies what that barrier does to you.”
Miracles Of Life is currently on the second line of Robert Sangster Stakes betting markets, but she drifted out to $6 after opening at a quote of $5.50.
The Not A Single Doubt mare will be returning to Adelaide for the first time since she failed to fire in the Group 1 The Goodwood (1200m) in May last year, but she has performed well in four race starts for Team Snowden and is taking strong form into the Robert Sangster Stakes following her impressive first-up win in the Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) and third place finish in the Group 3 The Galaxy (1100m).
Avoid Lightning failed to fire in The Galaxy, but returned to her best form in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on April 11 and is currently available at 2015 Robert Sangster odds of $8, while Platelet is priced at $9 despite producing one of the worst performances of her racing career to date in the Group 3 Irwin Stakes (1100m) at Morphettville on April 18.
The early market mover in the 2015 Robert Sangster Stakes betting market with Ladbrokes has been Politeness and she was quickly backed from his opening quote of $12 into $9.
Politeness has been plagued by hoof issues during her autumn campaign to date, but returned to racing in the Listed Bel Esprit Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on April 18 and will be benefited if there is plenty of early speed in the Robert Sangster Stakes.
There has been a sprinkling of support for Gregers ($11 into $10), while Sabatini ($9 out to $10) and Wawail ($16 out to $18) have both been early drifters.
