Twelve 3yos make up the 2017 Rosehill Guineas Field

Twelve three-year-olds will line up to contest the 2017 Group 1 $600,000 Sky Racing Rosehill Guineas (2000m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

The rain affected surface will give the Team Hawkes trained Inference a great chance to win back to back Guineas after the So You Think colt came from last to take out the Group 1 $1m Girvan Waugh Randwick Guineas (1600m) at Randwick on March 4 on a heavy 10 rated track.

Tommy Berry will be in the saddle again and the colt will jump from barrier three in the twelve horse Rosehill Guineas field.

The Chris Waller trained Comin’ Through should also be okay on the Rosehill track that is rated a heavy 9 on Wednesday morning after finishing third to Inference in the Randwick Guineas.

Comin’ Through also has a win and a third on a soft rated track and will jump from barrier six with Craig Williams taking over from Joao Moreira.

Waller will also saddle up Sizzling Bullet who is facing a huge step up in class after winning a midweek 2000m BenchMark 70 Handicap at Randwick on February 15.

The Snitzel colt will jump from gate five with Ryan Moore in the saddle.

Victoria Derby winner Prized Icon also has some wet track form with two wins on the soft and a third in the heavy and is back in form with a last start second to Hey Doc in the Group 1 $750,000 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on March 4.

The James Cummings trained Prized Icon has Glyn Schfield back in the saddle and has drawn barrier eight.

New Zealand three year old Gingernuts will be chasing his fiourth win on the trot and is dropping back in distance after winning the Group 1 NZ$1m New Zealand Derby over 2400m at Ellerslie on March 4.

Top Kiwi jockey Opie Bosson will be aboard Gingernuts again and the Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards trained gelding will jump from barrier four.

Blake Shinn rides the Lindsay Park trained Seaburge who drew barrier ten while Hugh Bowman will aboard Anaheim who has drawn the outside alley.

Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker has picked up the services of Brisbane’s leading rider Jeff Lloyd for Randwick Guineas fourth placegetter Impavido who drew barrier seven in the Rosehill Guineas.
