Golden Slipper placegetter Tulip has been scratched from the Group 3 $150,000 TPG Telecom San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on Saturday and will run in Melbourne.

The Lindsay Park Team of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig had accepted with Tulip in both the San Domenico Stakes and the $120,000 Johnnie Walker Plate (1200m) at The Valley and waited until today to see which race was the right option for the Pierro filly.
Lindsay Park will still be represented in the San Domenico Stakes with Madeenaty who has been scratched from the Johnnie Walker Plate.
Co-trainer David Hayes had said earlier in the week that he would accept with both fillies in both races and work out who went where once he had a chance to look at the final make of the fields.
“We’ll have a look at the fields and make a decision then,” Hayes said.
“When it’s time to head off on Thursday, one will turn left and one will turn right and head to either our Flemington stable or to our Randwick stable.”
Madeenaty moves into barrier two with the scratching of her stablemate Tulip with Corey Brown taking the ride and Hayes is expecting a competitive run from the Exceed And Excel filly.
“Madeenaty is the one that is going up. I thought she would better suited to the 1100m,” Hayes said.
“Her track work has been exceptional, she is a winner on the Sydney leg so she has got experience. She will be competitive in a very tough race.”
Madeenaty was a winner at Wyong in December in the $200,000 Wyong Magic Millions 20 (1100m) before running third to Houtzen in the $2m Jeep Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 14.
The filly was spelled after running tenth to She Will Reign in the Group 1 $3.5m Longines Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill during the 2017 Sydney Autumn Carnival and will be fitter for one run back when second to Crown Witness in a 1000m three year old Handicap down the Flemington straight on August 5.
The scratching of Tulip from the San Domenico Stakes has seen the Peter and Paul Snowden trained Pariah shorten up slightly to remain at the top of the market order at Ladbrokes.com.au at $2.30 while Madeenaty is now a $7 chance.
Also prominent in the betting is the Gerald Ryan trained Condor Heroes and James Cummings’ Jorda, both marked at $6.
