Unbeaten filly Tulip has been installed the favourite for the Group 3 $150,000 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Preview (Fillies) (1000m) at Caulfield on Thursday.

The Lindsay Park trained filly is the winner of her only race start when she beat Pure Emotion in a 1000m two year old Plate at Moonee Valley on December 31 and heads the market at $3 at Ladbrokes.com.au for the Blue Diamond Preview.
Co-trainer David Hayes has a high opinion of Tulip and considers her as an ideal type to go onto the Group 1 $1.5m Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 25.
“We’ve always thought she was very good,” David Hayes said.
“She’s a big type of filly physically and she’s got a big action to match.
“She’s right up with our better two-year-olds. Both her and Catchy to come from last in their first races were both really good efforts.
“I think both horses are ideal Blue Diamond types.”
Tulip has drawn barrier three in the twelve horse field and Craig Williams rides again after steering the Pierro filly to her debut win at Moonee Valley.
The Darren Weir trained Limestone is second in the market order at $3.70 and is coming off a last start win down the Flemington straight in a 1000m 2yo Plate on January 1 after running third on debut to Tulip’s stablemate Catchy in a 1000m 2yo Plate at Moonee Valley on December 9.
Limestone has drawn barrier five with Damian Lane retaining the ride.
Miss Wahoo and Spoils share the next line of betting at $9 and both fillies are yet to find the winner’s stall.
The Tony McEvoy trained Miss Wahoo has drawn barrier four with Kerrin McEvoy retaining the ride after partnering the filly to a first up third in the Listed $120,000 Inglis Debutant Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield on October 8 and a second to Limestone at Flemington.
Damien Oliver takes over on Spoils from Corey Brown who rode her into second place in the Debutant Stakes and the Clinton McDonald trained filly will jump from barrier eight in the Blue Diamond Preview for the fillies..
