Queensland Guineas winner Tsaritsa is among the twenty-four fillies and mares nominated for the Group 1 $500,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Club Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The Chris Waller trained Tsaritsa scored her fourth win from seven starts when Hong Kong’s magic man Joao Moreira brought the glamour filly down the middle of the track to record a quarter of a length victory over Denmagic in the Group 2 $400,000 MIRVAC Queensland Guineas (1600m) on the opening day of the newly reconstructed Eagle Farm track on June 11.
While Waller said that the Dane Shadow filly has come through the run in fine order, he is yet to confirm if she will take on the fillies and the older mares in the last Group 1 race of the 2015 – 2016 racing season.
“She galloped on Saturday and has shown she has come through her last race really well,” Waller told AAP.
“But we won’t make a decision until Monday when we have a look at what else is in the nominations.”
Waller has also nominated Telepahtic for the Tatterdsall’s Club Tiara but said that the Mossman mare is more likely to start in the Listed $100,000 A M Giles & Co Chartered Accountants Open Handicap (1830m).
“Telepathic is more likely to go to an 1800 metre race on the day,” Waller said.
Trainer Ciaron Maher has nominated his Group 1 winning mare Azkadellia in the Tattersall’s Club Tiara and is hoping for better luck this week following her tenth as favourite in the Group 1 $1.5m AAMI Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 11.
Azkadellia was caught in the worse part of the track in the Stradbroke Handicap and jockey Damien Oliver was unable to manoeuvre her off the fence in the straight and she never threatened over the concluding stages.
The first four placegetters of the Group 2 $200,000 Bundaberg Rum Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m) run at Eagle Farm on Queensland Oaks Day, Cradle Me, Artistry, Jessy Belle and Onemorezetta are also among the nominations for the Tattersall’s Club Tiara.
Trainer David Pfieffer was pleased to see Cradle Me back in the winner’s stall in the Dane Ripper Stakes and is giving her a good chance to make it back to back wins at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
“Her last couple of starts have come against the same type of horses she will be meeting on Saturday, so she has to be a great chance” Pfeiffer said.
“Obviously Azkadellia is a benchmark but, who knows, she might have come to the end of her preparation.
“We just have to cross our fingers for a decent barrier and I’m sure she will race well again.”
Group 1 winning mares Griante and Precious Gem are also among the nominations for the Tattersall’s Club Tiara.
The David Brideoake trained Griante was a Group 1 winner three starts back when she took out the $700,000 Banjo Galaxy (1100m) at Rosehill on March 19 and heads to Eagle Farm on the back of a fourth to Henry Dwyer’s Precious Gem in the Group 1 $400,000 UBET Classic (Registered as Robert Sangster Stakes) (1200m) at Morphettville on May 7.
Also among the nominations for the Tattersall’s Club Tiara is the in-form Kris Lees trained Danish Twist, a winner of her last four starts and last Saturday’s Gai Waterhouse Classic winner Blueberry Hill.
