It seems unlikely but given the incredible journey that 2011 has been for Chris Waller we’re not prepared to put anything past the New Zealand born trainer.

He has an unprecedented opportunity in the upcoming hours to grab three feature races, across three race course and two states.

On paper they look the goods as well and a treble would only further propel his stable into the media spotlight where it has been seemingly throughout the entire Autumn Carnival.

The first to go will be Beijing Boy in the Listed Wagga Gold Cup later today.

Both he and stable mate Vintedge were entered for that race but it’s now expected that Vintedge will instead run for Waller at Canterbury tomorrow in the Lord Mayor’s Cup.

If he does that will give him three potential starts for that race with Altered Boy and Foreteller also representing the stable.

If he can get the job done in both New South Wales races then it’ll be all eyes on Queensland and the Gold Coast for the Group 3 Hollindale Stakes.

My Kingdom Of Fife is unbeaten in their two Australian starts

That’s probably his best chance of the lot with My Kingdom Of Fife who is unbeaten on Aussie soil leading a dual charge alongside Triple Honour.

The UK import is a big favourite for the race and could potentially be the last piece of the puzzle for Waller’s treble.

At least one man in confidently standing in the way and that’s Joe Pride who has been outspoken in his support for veteran runner Vision And Power.

He hasn’t won a race in his last 20 attempts by Pride is refusing to dismiss him as a has been.

“He has now had five runs back and is starting to find his form again,” Pride said.

“I thought his run behind My Kingdom Of Fife at Randwick last start was as good as any of them in the race. He’s gone along well since and I gave him a soft trial at Warwick Farm [Monday] to keep him ticking along. He will head up for the Doomben Cup after this run.”

Also representing Pride will be Miss Keepsake who will be at huge odds to claim the race but Pride is hoping a firmer track may lead to an improved performance.
