Four year old Too Good To Refuse looks likely to bypass the Listed $175,000 City Of Ipswich Eye Liner Stakes (1350m) at Ipswich on Saturday.

Too Good To Refuse was among the thirty horses nominated for the Eye Liner Stakes but trainer Desleigh Forster said that she was thinking of keeping the Rothsay stallion for the Listed $175,000 HMR Projects Glasshouse Handicap (1400m) at the Sunshine Coast on July 1.
“The Eye Liner was to be his race after he was fourth emergency in the Stradbroke. But I didn’t want to run him on a rain-affected track at Ipswich so ran at Doomben,” Forster told AAP.
“He will now go to the Glasshouse Mountains Sprint in a fortnight at Caloundra.”
Forster had hopes of running Too Good To Refuse in the Group 1 $1.5m Stradbroke Handicap (1350m) at Doomben last Saturday but the four year old was relegated to fourth emergency.
The Eagle Farm trainer then had to decide if Too Good To Refuse was going to run in the Listed $100,000 Makers Mark Hinkler Handicap (1200m) at Doomben last Saturday or be kept for the Eye Liner Stakes.
The forecast for the Brisbane and Ipswich area was for a wet week in the lead up to the Eye Liner Stakes so Forster decided to run the four year old on the Good rated surface at Doomben.
The move nearly paid off with Robbie Fradd bringing Too Good To Refuse from the tail of the field approaching the home turn to fail by a nose to catch Miss Gunpowder in the Hinkler Handicap.
Even though Forster is looking for a dry track for Too Good To Refuse, he does have mixed form on rain affected tracks with a second three starts back on a heavy 8 in a 1615m Handicap at Doomben followed by an eighth on a Soft 5 in the Listed $100,000 Mandate Tails Stakes (1600m) at Doomben on April 22.
Too Good To Refuse has been a consistent performer for the Forster stable with five wins and nine minor placings from twenty-seven starts with prizemoney earnings of $465,550.
