Tiyatrolani has been super impressive at her two race starts with a seven and half lengths win in an Ipswich 1100m two year old Maiden on April 15 and then flew the gates at Doomben to dictate the pace before powering away in the straight to record a four and a quarter lengths win in an 1110m Doomben two year old Plate on April 30.

Tegan Harrison was at the controls at Ipswich and Doomben and gets the ride again in the ten horse Champagne Classic on the Captain Sonador filly.

Trainer Tony Gollan said that Tiyatrolani showed plenty of ability from day one and he has no worries about stretching her out to longer distances in the future.

“Right from day one she has shown us plenty,” Gollan told Racing Queensland News.

“She is a get-out-and-go filly but there is no doubt she will get further,” Gollan said.

The Steven O’Dea trained Candika chased home Tiyatrolani when five lengths third at her first run back since running third to Capitalist in the $2m Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 9.

Paul Hammersley is sticking with Candika who has drawn barrier eight in the field reduced to ten runners with the early scratching of the Team Hawkes trained Redouble.

Kelso Wood’s smart filly Nikitas is resuming following a break after running second in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic and has drawn midfield at barrier five with Michael Cahill in the saddle again.

Jason Collett will wear the Godolphin royal blue colours on Souchez who has drawn nicely at barrier two and Peter and Paul Snowden will saddle up Attention who will jump from gate three.

Chris Waller’s only Champagne Classic runner in the well-bred Earth who has drawn barrier six with Glyn Schofield to ride.
