Last start Randwick winner The Monstar and The Wangoom winner Ulmann have both been allocated 59kg for the Glasshouse Handicap.

The Monstar is also the 59.5kg top weight for the Listed $150,000 Civic Stakes (1350m) at Rosehill on Saturday and Cavanough said that he would like some rain to arrive before the weekend at the Sunshine Coast before committing to a start in the Glasshouse Handicap.

“It’s either the Civic Stakes or Glasshouse and he won at the Sunshine Coast last year,” Cavanough told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

“At the end of the day it will be weather dominated and he is ready to go either way.

“We’re only seven to eight hours from Queensland so you probably want to be out of here Thursday afternoon (if we go to Queensland).”

Ulmann has had two runs in Queensland since winning the Listed $150,000 Wangoom Handicap (1200m) at Warrnambool on May 3 for a third in the Group 3 $125,000 Taxibox BRC Sprint (1350m) at Doomben on May 20 followed by an eleventh in the Group 1 $1.5m Stradbroke Handicap (1350m) at Doomben on June 10.

The Peter and Paul Snowden trained Snippets Land is next in weight order with 58kg and the Randwick co-trainers are looking to claim another Winter Carnival feature race on the weekend.

Team Snowden kicked off the Winter Carnival with a win by Redzel in the Group 1 $700,000 James Boag’s Premium Doomben 10000 (1200m) at Doomben and then won the last Group 1 of the 2016 – 2017 racing season with Tycoon Tara in the $500,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Tiara (1350m) at Doomben last Saturday.

Locally trained sprinter Monsieur Gustave has been issued 55kg and trainer Darryl Hansen will be looking for a home town victory after the four year old scored a narrow win in the Listed $175,000 City Of Ipswich Eye Liner Stakes (1350m) at Ipswich on June 17.
