The Group 2 Warwick Stakes (1400m) is set to be a key form race for the 2013 Spring Racing Carnival with an incredible ten Group 1 winners nominated to begin their campaigns in the race on Saturday.

Leading Sydney trainer Chris Waller dominates the nominations with nine of his horses a chance to contest the Group 2 event.
Group 1 winners Beaten Up, Foreteller, Shoot Out and Hawkspur are set to make their first appearances this preparation while Metal Bender could return to the races for the first time since his victory in the 2012 Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m), although he has also been included in the nominations for the Group 3 Show County Quality (1200m).
Doncaster Handicap winner Sacred Falls, 2013 Melbourne Cup contender Kelinni and import Moriarty are duel nominees, with the Show County also an option for the Waller-trained trio, while Royal Descent has been included in the nominations for both the Warwick Stakes and the Group 3 Toy Show Quality (1300m).
Gai Waterhouse-trained stayer Glencadam Gold and classy mare Streama are the other Australian-trained Group 1 winners in the nominations while veteran gelding Veyron, who has won at the highest level of racing in New Zealand on five occasions, is a chance to return to Australia for the first time since finishing eighth behind Pierro in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill Gardens earlier this year.
Speedy sprinter Rain Affair is one of the few horses that will go into the Warwick Stakes with a run under their belt after he demolished a small field first-up in the Group 3 Missile Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick a fortnight ago while runner-up Mic Mac will also back up from the Group 3 sprint.
Another interesting nominee is Peter Moody-trained Sneak A Peek who has not been seen at the races since finishing eighth behind Dunaden in the 2012 Caulfield Cup (2400m).
The Italian-import was set to resume in the Group 2 P.B. Lawrence Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield last Saturday but Moody made the decision to push back his return and bring him to Sydney this weekend.
Rounding out the Warwick Stakes nominations are Centennial Park, Malavio, Toydini and Tremec.
