Brisbane jockey Tegan Harrison is back on board Echo Gal in the Listed $100,000 Sky Racing Gai Waterhouse Classic (1350m) at Ipswich on Saturday.

Echo Gal has drawn barrier four in the fourteen horse field and gives trainer Gai Waterhouse a great chance to win the race named in her honour.
Harrison rode Echo Gal two starts back for a tenth to Melaguerra in the Group 1 $500,000 BTC Cup (1200m) at Doomben on May 14 but was replaced by Hong Kong’s leading jockey Joao Moreira when the Stratum mare finished sixth to Spill The Beans in the Group 2 $175,000 MIRVAC QTC Cup (1300m) at Eagle Farm last Saturday.
Topweight Scarlet Billows is dropping back from Group 1 company and has drawn off the track at barrier twelve with Irish jockey John Allen to ride.
Dean Yendall rode the Darren Weir trained Scarlet Billows when she was seventeenth behind Precious Gem in the Group 1 $400,000 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on May 7 then Brad Rawiller was in the saddle for an eighth to Music Magnate in the Group 1 $750,000 James Boag’s Premium Doomben 10000 (1350m) at Doomben three weeks later.
Melbourne filly Serenade has been installed the $3.70 favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au and has drawn a favourable barrier at three with Jeff Lloyd taking the mount.
The Mike Moroney trained filly has had one run during the Queensland Winter Racing Carnival for a second, with Tim Clark in the saddle, to Palazzo Pubblico in the Listed $100,000 City Property Services Bright Shadow Handicap (1200m) at Doomben on May 21.
Local hope Blueberry Hill has drawn awkward at barrier ten in the Gai Waterhouse Classic with Brisbane’s leading apprentice James Orman taking over the reins from Jim Byrne who was aboard her last start when eighth to Ghisoni in the Group 3 $150,000 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) at Doomben on May 28.
Byrne has elected to go with the Liam Birchley trained stalemate Elusive Catch who finished in front of Blueberry Hill when fifth in the Glenlogan Park Stakes.
Elusive Catch has drawn the pole position and is rated as one of the outsiders of the field at $34.
