Sweet Idea is having her first start since incurring an automatic three months ban after bleeding when second to Thump in the Group 2 $175,000 Coolmore Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm on August 24.

The Gai Waterhouse trained filly has by far the best credentials of any runner at Wyong and her record includes a third to stablemate Overreach in this year’s Group 1 $3.5m Tooheys New Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill in April.

Bookmakers have installed the Snitzel filly the $1.40 favourite to pick up the winner’s cheque on her way to the Gold Coast for the $1m Magic Millions 3yo Guineas (1400m) at the Gold Coast on January 11.

Sweet Idea is no stranger to the Gold Coast and was beaten in a tight photo finish when second to Real Surreal in the 2013 $2m Jeep Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m).

James McDonald replaces the suspended Tommy Berry and will be reunited with the filly after just missing out on the major prise at the Gold Coast in January.

Berry was aboard Sweet Idea when second at Warwick Farm and also steered her to a Randwick barrier trial win on December 2.

The Peter Moody trained Weinholt is also resuming, coming off a Randwick barrier trial win on the same day.

Weinholt was due to have his first run since finishing twelfth to Long John in the Group 1 $1m BECK Caulfield Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on October 12 at Doomben last Saturday but was scratched after coming up with barrier fifteen in the Listed $100,000 Trade Coast Legal Gold Edition Plate (1200m).

The Stratum colt showed some good early two year old form with the Moody stable keen on his prospects after wins at Ballarat and Caulfield in February and March.

Hugh Bowman is certain to give Weinholt the perfect run from gate three while McDonald on Sweet Idea will be able to position his filly in a prominent position from the inside gate.

Bookmakers are also giving Darren Smith’s filly Dream Forward a chance and have marked her at $5.50 just ahead of Weinholt at $6.

Dream Forward has finished second in a Newcastle barrier trial since running fifth to Champagne Cath  in the Listed $100,000 Barcardi Reginald Allen Quality (1400m) at Rosehill on September 28.
