Ryan had nominated Solicit for both the Summoned Stakes against the mares and the Group 3 $150,000 Sandown Stakes (1500m) but will send her around against the her own sex.

“She will run at Sandown in the Summoned Stakes with Kerrin McEvoy to ride,” Ryan told Racing HQ.

Solicit had put in two good runs in Melbourne during the Spring Carnival and Ryan was happy with both efforts considering the mare had drawn an outside barrier on both occasions.

“She was good considering in the Myer. She drew wide and went forward and they clapped on the speed. She is going good, she was only beaten 2.8 lengths,” Ryan said.

“Brenton thought that he was going to cross pretty easy and he almost got across and then another one kicked up inside him and that sort of fired her up a bit and over raced.”

“But she is back to 1500m on Saturday and we won’t be firing her out as much as we did there and hope she draws a barrier.”

“Two runs in Melbourne she has drawn fifteen of sixteen and thirteen of fifteen or something and if she could draw a barrier. If you look back through her form, her best form is when she draws somewhere in close.”

First up at Caulfield Brenton Avdulla had Solicit out of barrier eleven quickly and the mare settled in second spot on the pace and remained there to be runner up to La Passe in the Group 2 $200,000 Schweppes Tristarc Stakes (1400m) on October 17.

Then at Flemington two weeks later Solicit was unable to cross to the fence from a wide gate with Miss Rose De Lago retaining the inside running and in the end faded to finish eighth to Politeness in the Group 1 $500,000 Myer Classic (1600m).

Solicit will be having her first run at Sandown on Saturday and Ryan took her there this morning to familiarise her with the track.

“She went to Sandown this morning and had a look. Her work was good, she came down the hill good. She has never raced there and Brad was quite happy with her. She worked well,” Ryan said.

Solicit was Group 1 placed on two occasions in her three year old year with a third in the 2013 $1m Crown Oaks (2500m) at Flemington and with a second in the 2014 $400,000 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill.

The best of her five wins came in the Group 2 $220,000 Kewney Stakes (1400m) at Flemington during the 2014 Melbourne Autumn Carnival when she beat Marianne and Suavito.
