So You Think Siblings Going On Sale

He was the star of the spring in 2010 and is one of the most famous Australia horses of the last decade and now you have a chance to get your own piece of So You Think.

The dual Cox Plate champion has two siblings going through sales in 2012, one a three quarter brother and the other a full brother.

The full brother will go under the hammer during the Easter sales in Sydney while the three quarter colt will be auctioned next month at the New Zealand Premier Sale at Karaka.

The later is by High Chaparral out of La Souvenir, a daughter of So You Think’s dam Triassic.

He’s one of the stars of the sale and Windsor Park Stud manager Rodney Schick has no problems is talking him up.

“He is a fantastic type, he’s a beast,” Schick said.

“He is a good sized horse and is a very strong and well put together colt. He ticks all the boxes on type and is hard to fault so we expect him to be very popular come sale time.”

So You Think has won eight Group 1’s in his career that’s stretched from Australia, throughout Europe and even the United States.

He was bought at the New Zealand Premier Sale back in 2008 for $US110,000, prize money alone now topping $A7.4 million.

His success has done wonders for High Chaparral as well with the sire responsible for the biggest crop at the sales, 35 colts and 26 fillies.

He has sired a total of seven Group 1 champions, four of them with his very first New Zealand crop.

All up the son of Sadler’s Wells has amassed 32 stakes winners.

High Chaparral first came south to join Windsor Park in 2005 but was this year sold to Coolmore in Australia.

This current list will be his last cohort that were conceived in New Zealand.
