Capitalist cemented his spot at the top of the Golden Slipper market order at $3.60 at Ladbrokes.com.au after making a one act affair of the $2m Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 9.

The Written Tycoon colt was sent straight to the paddock after completing a hat trick of wins from three race starts with a two and half lengths win at the Gold Coast and Snowden is confident that he will measure up to Golden Slipper standard.

“He is an exciting horse and let’s hope he’s a horse to look forward to in the future,” Snowden said.

“It (The Golden Slipper) is doable.”

Snowden has picked out the Warwick Farm barrier trials on February 22 as an important hit out for Capitalist before he heads to Group 2 $300,000 Todman Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on March 5.

The Todman Stakes will be Capitalist final lead up run before stepping out in the Golden Slipper Stakes a fortnight later.

“He’ll trial on February 22 then it’s two weeks into the Todman then another two weeks into the Slipper,” Snowden told Racenet.

Snowden knows how to prepare a Golden Slipper winner, having won the world’s richest two year race previously with Sepoy in 2011 when training under the Darley banner.

Capitalist kicked off his racing career with a debut win in the Listed $150,000 Newgate Breeders’ Plate (1000m) at Randwick on October 3, during the 2015 Spring Carnival.

Snowden immediately put the colt out before preparing him to win the $200,000 Wyong Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1100m) at Wyong on December 17 on his way to the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic win with Blake Shinn in the saddle for all three victories..

Capitalist has already won just over $1.4 million in prizemoney and a win in the Golden Slipper Stakes would boost his bank balance by another $2 million.

Early Golden Slipper Stakes market order at Ladbrokes.com.au: $3.60 Capitalist, $9 Astern, $13 Calliope, Honesty Prevails, $15 Extreme Choice, Scarlet Rain, Tessera, Yankee Rose, $16 Defcon, $21 Nikitas, $26 Cohesion, Credible Witness, Detective, Global Glamour, Midnight Rose, Slumber Party, Star Turn, Thyme For Roses.
