Girl Guide has been transferred to the care of Ciaron Maher for her current preparation but has been a strong and consistent performer through her entire career since debuting for David Hayes in 2014; posting six wins and as many minors through twenty-one starts.

Returning this time with an impressive run for second in the Listed Bel Esprit Stakes (1200m) on April 23rd, the Churchill Downs mare failed to handle the heavy going when eighth in the Listed Wangoom Handicap (1200m) last time out but will appreciate a return to Caulfield on Saturday.

Fast ‘N’ Rocking has remained outright favourite in 2016 Sir John Monash Stakes since he was confirmed in the race’s field on Wednesday, but has also continued to firm to a current quote of $4.60.

Posting five wins and eight minors for more than $1.2 million in prize money through an impressive racing career, Fast ‘N’ Rocking clearly needed a run when tenth in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) first-up this year, but responded with a strong performance for fourth in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m).

Luckless when eighth in the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) on Day 1 of The Championships, the Fastnet Rock gelding placed third in the Group 3 Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) on April 16th before running on for fourth amongst particularly classy company in the Group 1 The Goodwood (1200m) on May 21st.

Fast ‘N’ Rocking is drawn ideally in barrier 6 and with Dwayne Dunn aboard, but has been charged with overcoming a race-high 58.5kgs.

Wild Rain currently figures as the Sir John Monash Stakes betting market mover after cutting into a quote of $6.

A standout for Mark Kavanagh through summer, Wild Rain ran second in each of the Listed Earl Grey Stakes (1000m) and Ballarat Magic Millions 3&4y.o Classic (1100m) before taking out the Listed City Of Greater Dandenong Stakes (1000m) on December 5th.

Running second in the Magic Millions Sprint (1100m) on January 9th, the Manhattan Rain mare has not been seen at the races since finishing sixth in the Listed Kensington Stakes (1000m) on January 30th.

Only two other runners; Lord Of The Sky ($7) and Atmospherical ($8.50) currently figure at Sir John Monash Stakes odds of less than $10 at Ladbrokes Australia.
