Talented Kiwi mare Silent Achiever has run her last race and will now begin a career as a broodmare following her flat performance in the 2015 Doomben Cup in Brisbane last weekend.

Silent Achiever made her racing debut in New Zealand in November of 2011 and she scored her maiden race win in her second race start before she made her black type racing debut with a third place finish in the Group 2 Eight Carat Classic (1600m) at Ellerslie at the end of the year.
She returned to winning form with a victory in the Group 2 Championship Stakes (2100m) at Ellerslie and she went on to stamp herself as the best three-year-old in New Zealand with a string of wins in the Group 3 Waikato Guineas (2000m), Group 2 Avondale Guineas (2100m) and Group 1 New Zealand Derby (2400m).
Silent Achiever made her Australian racing debut with a fast-finishing third behind Laser Hawk and Ocean Park in the 2012 edition of the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) and she produced a slightly disappointing effort as favourite in the Group 1 Australian Derby (2400m).
The daughter of O’Reilly returned to Australia for the 2012 Spring Racing Carnival and she took out the Group 2 Crystal Mile (1600m), but she did not have as much luck the following autumn and produced four solid performances at the highest level of racing without winning.
Silent Achiever’s losing streak continued during the 2013 Spring Racing Carnival, but she was able to returned to her best form in New Zealand at the start of 2014 when she took out the Retina Specialists Handicap (1500m) at Ellerslie on February 15 and the Group 1 New Zealand Stakes (2000m) at the same venue on March 8 before she scored upset wins in both the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill Gardens on March 22 and the Group 1 The BMW (2400m) at the same venue on April 5.
The four-time Group 1 winner made a slow start to her 2014 Spring Racing Carnival campaign, but she returned to her best form to finish a very close third behind Adelaide and Fawkner in Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m).
Silent Achiever was far from disgraced in four race starts during the 2015 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival, but she was unable to record a race win and connections elected to retire her following flat performances in both the Group 2 Hollindale Stakes (1800m) and the Group 1 Doomben Cup (2000m).
The six-year-old finished her racing career with 10 wins from 36 race starts and will now head to the northern hemisphere to commence broodmare services where she will likely be served by either Frankel, Sea The Stars or Galileo.
