The 2014 Cox Plate form guide can be difficult to read for punters that are not racing experts, so we have done the hard work and summed up the form of every single runner in the Group 1 event at Moonee Valley tomorrow in a single sentence to help you find the winner of the race.

Sacred Falls – Sacred Falls took out the Group 1 George Main Stakes (1600m) in Sydney before making the trip to Melbourne and he ran home strongly to finish fourth in the Group 1 Caulfield Stakes (2000m), but may need a bit of luck in running to take out the Cox Plate.
Fawkner – Fawkner is the clear favourite in 2014 Cox Plate betting markets and looms as the most likely winner after he finished second in the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) and took out the Caulfield Stakes.
Side Glance– Side Glance finished a credible sixth in the Cox Plate last year before taking out the Mackinnon Stakes and he returned to Australia racing with a tough third behind Fawkner and Criterion in the Caulfield Stakes.
Happy Trails – Happy Trails finished a close second behind Shamus Award in the Cox Plate last year and performed well in the Group 1 Underwood Stakes (1800m) and Caulfield Stakes heading into this year’s race.
Foreteller – Foreteller recorded his first race win in over a year when he took out the Underwood Stakes, but he was not particularly impressive at his last start in the Caulfield Stakes.
The Cleaner – On pure numbers The Cleaner is taking the strongest form into the Cox Plate after winning the Group 2 Dato’ Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m) and the Group 3 JRA Cup (2040m) in his usual exciting front-running style.
Guest Of Honour – Guest Of Honour took out the Ganton Stakes and Summer Mile in England before making the trip to Australia and he finished a credible ninth in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) in his Australian racing debut.
Criterion – Criterion failed to fire in the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m), but he produced an improved performance in the Group 2 Hill Stakes (2000m) before he stamped himself as a genuine Cox Plate contender with a fast-finishing second in the Caulfield Stakes.
Silent Achiever – Silent Achiever has performed well short of her best during her spring preparation and has failed to impress in the Memsie Stakes, Underwood Stakes and Turnbull Stakes.
Royal Descent – Royal Descent has not recorded a race win in 18 months, but she finished second in the Warwick Stakes, Chelmsford Stakes and George Main Stakes before she was narrowly denied by stablemate He’s Your Man in the Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m).
Adelaide – Adelaide has raced right around the world during the 2014 Northern Hemisphere racing season and he finished second in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes (2400m), Group 1 Belmont Derby (2000m) and Group 2 Prix Niel (2400m), while he took out the Group 1 Secretariat Stakes (2000m).
Almalad – Almalad was unbeaten as a two-year-old, but he has produced inconsistent results this season and he finished a disappointing eighth in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) after winning the Group 2 Stutt Stakes (1600m) at his previous start.
Sweynesse – Sweynesse started his racing career with four wins from as many starts, including stakes wins in the Group 3 Spring Stakes (1600m) and Group 3 Gloaming Stakes (1800m), but could finish no better than third in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m).
Wandjina – Wandjina has recorded just one win from nine race starts, but he was granted a start in the Cox Plate after he ran home strongly to finish third behind Shooting To Win and Rich Enuff in the Caulfield Guineas.
