Admire Rakti – The Japanese stayer must be respected and he has performed well in some of the biggest races in Japan like the Japan Cup and Tenno Sho.
Green Moon – Green Moon has not won since he took out the 2012 Melbourne Cup, but he performed well in the autumn and should be able to take a forward position in the early stages of the race.
Sea Moon – The Beat Hollow entire was disappointing in The Bart Cummings and he would need to improve significantly to be any chance in the Caulfield Cup.
The Offer – The Offer has improved every time that he has stepped up in trip this preparation and loves this trip, but will need plenty of luck from his wide gate.
Seismos – The European stayer took out the Geoffrey Freer Stakes at his last start and he is a tough galloper that is sure to be hitting the line strongly in the final stages of the race.
Hawkspur – Hawkspur was beaten as the Caulfield Cup favourite last year, but he had no luck in the run and his lead-up run in the Turnbull Stakes was better than it looked on paper.
Junoob – Junoob is taking winning form into the Caulfield Cup after he scored his maiden win at Group 1 level in The Metropolitan and he has been one of the best backed runners this morning.
Moriarty – The Clodovil gelding finished a credible tenth in the Caulfield Cup last year and he defeated Rising Romance to take out the Craven Plate at his last start.
Who Shot Thebarman – The Auckland Cup winner will be better suited by the 3200 metres of the Melbourne Cup, but you can’t knock winning form and he took out The Bart Cummings in good style.
Stipulate – Stipulate is a question mark over 2400 metres, but his run in the Turnbull Stakes was very good and his first-up victory in the Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock Stakes was most impressive.
Lidari – The Caulfield Cup lead-up form of Lidari has been exceptional and based on his performance in the Turnbull Stakes he deserves to be considered one of the leading fancies.
Lucia Valentina– Lucia Valentina is a clear Caulfield Cup favourite and she is clearly the horse to beat after her strong win in the Turnbull Stakes.
Rising Romance – The Australian Oaks winner has beaten Lucia Valentina in two of their four meetings and she is another horse that will relish the step-up to 2400 metres.
Big Memory – Big Memory won the Hebert Power Stakes at his last start to earn a place in the Caulfield Cup field, but that race has not proven a strong guide in recent years.
Brambles – Brambles has been the best-backed runner in the past 24 hours and will be stepping up to 2400 metres for the first time since he took out the 2012 Queensland Derby.
Araldo – The High Chaparral gelding has a poor record at Caulfield, but he worked home strongly late to finish third in The Metropolitan at his last start.
Unchain My Heart – Unchain My Heart is a tough staying mare, but she is surely not good enough to win a race like the Caulfield Cup.
Renew – Renew was very disappointing in the Herbert Power Stakes last weekend and would need to improve significantly to take out the Caulfield Cup.
