She’s Clean To Return In Juanmo Stakes

She’s Clean will return to the races in the 2014 Juanmo Stakes at Doomben on Saturday and trainer Chris Waller is hoping that a stint in Queensland will help the talented mare return to her best form.

She's Clean will need to improve on her autumn form to be a winning chance in the 2014 Juanmo STakes at Doomben this weekend.

She’s Clean has shown plenty of ability throughout her racing career and has two black type wins on her racing resume, beating Appearance to win  the Listed Triscay Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm last year before claiming the Listed June Stakes (1200m), but failed to fire in two starts during her 2014 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival campaign.

The daughter of Redoute’s Choice resumed in the Triscay Stakes at Royal Randwick on February 22 and she was beaten as a short priced favourite before finishing tenth behind stablemate Catkins in the Group 3 Wiggle Stakes (1400m) at Warwick Farm on March 8.

Waller admits that he was disappointed with the performances of She’s Clean during her autumn campaign and is hoping that the five-year-old will relish a bit of sun and warmth in Queensland in the coming months.

“If she is anywhere near right she would blow them away, but to me she is just a little, I wouldn’t say stale, but is just going through the motions,” Waller said.

“That is the reason I have sent her up to Brisbane, for a change of scenery.

“Our horses stay up at the Gold Coast while they are there and they absolutely thrive.

“She will arrive on Thursday morning and she probably won’t get the affects out of it for this run, but following on from this run she will.

“What they get it a little bit of warmth on their backs, they walk around the canals and it is a different environment.

“I am hoping that will just help switch this girl on, she is certainly up to it and with barrier one and Nash Rawiller she will just get a lovely run and will be ready to attack late.”

She’s Clean is returned to Queensland for the first time since he finished a credible fifth when she made her Group 1 debut behind stablemate Red Tracer,  triple Group 1 winner Streama, Peter Moody-trained Floria and veteran mare Skyerush in the Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 22 last year.

Darley filly Miniature is currently a clear favourite in 2014 Juanmo Stakes betting markets, while She’s Clean is available at a quote of $8.50.
