Talented mare She’s Clean returned to the races with an impressive victory in the 2015 Tibbie Stakes at Newcastle this afternoon.

She’s Clean had not been seen at the races since she finished a credible fourth behind Peace Force in the Group 3 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) at Doomben on May 23 and jockey James McDonald elected to settle the Redoute’s Choice mare in the second half of the field.
McDonald elected to save ground coming into the straight and the perfect run opened up for She’s Clean, who took advantage of the clear running to finish over the top of a typically gallant Two Blue and held off a fast-finishing Sultry Feeling to take out the Tibbie Stakes.
McDonald was having his first ever race ride on She’s Clean in the 2015 Tibbie Stakes and the talented hoop was clearly thrilled to be able to ride another stakes winner for the Ingham Family after he took out the Group 3 Sheraco Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.
“I wish it opened up like that all the time,” McDonald said.
“She is really nice mare and she tries her guts out.
“It is a credible to the Inghams for keeping her racing.
“They have Catkins who is a seven-year-old and this one is quite old and they are in career best form.
“I reckon they suit me pretty well (the Ingham colours).
She’s Clean made her racing debut with a second place finish at Hawkesbury in August of 2011 and she worked her way through the grades before she claimed a maiden black type win in the Listed June Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick in June of 2013.
She made her Group 1 debut with a credible fifth place finish behind stablemate Red Tracer in the Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m) and she went through a lengthy losing streak before she returned to winning form with a dominant victory in the TAB Place Multi Handicap (1400m) at Royal Randwick in January.
Kristen Buchanan-trained Two Blue continued her run of second place finishes in stakes races following her second place finishes in the Listed Civic Stakes (1350m), Listed Winter Stakes (1400m) and Listed Mona Lisa Stakes (1350m), while Sultry Feeling was held up for a run in the straight before she hit the line strongly to finish third in her first start at Group level since she finished fourth in the Group 3 PJ Bell Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick in April.
