Sacred Falls recorded his maiden win in Australia when he upset Pierro, Norzita and Streama in the 2013 edition of the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) and he did not score another win for 12 months before he defended his title in the $3 million race.

The O’Reilly entire will be retired to stand at stud at the conclusion of the 2014/2015 racing season, but he has been set for the Doncaster Mile and will have the chance to become the first horse in history to win the race on three occasions.

Peter Moody-trained Dissident stamped himself as the best miler in Australia in the past 12 months and has been allocated the second top weight of 57.5 kilograms for the 2015 Doncaster Mile.

Dissident will head towards the Doncaster Mile after he returned to winning form in the Group 1 Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield last weekend, but Moody has warned that the career of the stallion prospect could be ended at any time.

The likes of Cox Plate winner Adelaide, Chris Waller-trained Foreteller, triple Group 1 winner Happy Trails, imported stayer Ivanhowe and Hong Kong Cup placegetter Criterion were all allocated between 56 and 57 kilograms, but are more likely to contest the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes than the Doncaster Mile.

The Doncaster Mile will have an international presence for the second year in a row and World Ace (55.5kg) and Real Impact (55kg) both looked to have gotten in well at the weights.

World Ace has not recorded a win since he took out the 2014 edition of the Group 2 The Yomiuri Milers Cup (1600m), but has been competitive in races like the Group 1 The Yasuda Kinen (1600m) at Tokyo, the Group 1 The Mile Championship (1600m) and Group 1 Hong Kong Mile (1600m).

Real Impact has been a consistent performer at the highest level of racing and he returned to winning form with a tough victory in the Group 2 Hanshin Cup (1400m) at the end of last year.

Three-year-olds have always had an excellent record in the Doncaster Mile and a number of talented colts, geldings and fillies have all got into the race well in the weights.

Hallowed Crown returned to racing with a win in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) on Saturday and has been allocated 52 kilograms by Racing New South Wales, while Shooting To Win (51.5kg), Hampton Court (51kg), Preferment (51kg), First Seal (50kg), Amicus (50kg), Sweynesse (50kg), Wandjina (50k0g) and Winx (50kg) will all carry substantially less weight than their older rivals.

Other key 2015 Doncaster Mile handicaps included Royal Descent (54kg), Rudy (50.5kg), The Cleaner (54kg), Weary (54kg), Chautauqua (54kg), Cosmic Endeavour (52kg) and Diamond Drille (51kg).
