Darley Crown quinella Solicit and Peace Force will head to Queensland to prepare for the Group 1 $500,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Club Tiara (1400m) at the Gold Coast on June 20.

Trainer Gerald Ryan said that both mares would now head north for the Queensland Winter Carnival after fighting out the finish of the Group 3 $150,000 The 2015 Darley Crown (1300m) at Rosehill last Saturday.

Solicit had been struggling to find form since her win over twelve months ago in the Group 2 $220,000 TAB Kewney Stakes (1400m) at Flemington and was scheduled to head to breeding barn immediately.

But a reprieve from connections saw her score a gutsy win over her stablemate Peace Force and give her one last chance at a Group 1 victory before heading to stud in the Spring.

“She will be going to stud at the end of the season so it was nice to get a stakes win with her,” Ryan told AAP.

The Group 3 $200,000 Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) on Saturday during the two day Scone Carnival was also an option by Ryan who will give Solicit and Peace Force more time to get over their Darley Crown run and look to the Group 3 $150,000 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) at Doomben on May 23 for their next run.

“She (Solicit) left a bit of feed overnight so that has confirmed she won’t go to Scone,” Ryan said.

“She and Peace Force will probably go to the Glenlogan Park Stakes in Brisbane and then the Tatt’s Tiara.”

Solicit ($11) and Peace Force ($6.50) both raced back in the field in the Darley Crown and made late runs to claim the leader Calming Influence ($9) close to the line with the $3.20 favourite Peron filling the fourth spot.

Solicit has been tested at Group 1 company in the early part of her career and was placed at the top level twice with a third in the Group 1 $1m Crown Oaks (2500m) at Flemington during the 2013 Melbourne Spring Carnival and she followed that up in the Autumn of 2014 with a second in the Group 1 $400,000 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill.

Peace Force has been working her way up through the grades and was sent for a break after recording a hat trick of wins during the Summer months in Sydney.

The Bernardini mare resumed from a spell for a second to Mamwaazel in the Group 3 $125,000 Gosford RSL Belle Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) at Gosford on January 9 prior to her second to Solicit last weekend.
