Australian Turf Club General Manager for racecourses Lindsay Murphy is hopeful to see a further upgraded after the Rosehill track was rated a slow 6 on Friday morning for the Golden Rose Stakes Day on Saturday.

Rosehill is set to have the best rated Sydney track for a Saturday metropolitan meeting for the last month with racegoers having had to struggle with heavy tracks because of the consistent rain over the last four weeks.
A light shower on Friday morning was enough stop Murphy rating the track a dead 5 but he is hopeful the sun will come out during the day.
“It’s nothing serious but it’s enough to stop the track from improving,” Murphy told Racing Network.
“If we were to have some sun and drying weather I’d be confident we’d get to a ‘dead’ track tomorrow.
“The forecast is for isolated showers throughout the day and tomorrow as well, and they say we’re a 95 percent chance of getting some of those showers.”
“We’re not that far off a dead track, so what happens with the weather in the next 24 hours will be critical.”
“I’ve rated the track a ‘slow 6’ this morning.”
The state of the track won’t worry leading Melbourne trainer Peter Moody who will saddle up two of the top chances, Bring Me The Maid and Better Land, in the Group 1 $1m De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose Stakes (1400m).
Bring Me The Maid ploughed through the mud to take out the Group 2 $175,000 Coolmore Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Randwick two weeks ago while most racegoers at Randwick thought that Better Land should have won the Group 3 $125,000 Synergy FX Up and Coming Stakes (1300m) after copping a buffering over the concluding stages from the erratic Liberation.
Better Land was only beaten less than a length when fourth to Scissor Kick after being run off the track on two occasions over the final 250m.
Better Land has also recorded a win on a heavy track when he scored on debut in a Sale maiden back in April.
Bring Me The Maid continues to hold her spot at the top of the market order for the Golden Rose Stakes with Ladbrokes.com.au at $3.80 ahead of the Bart and James Cummings trained Hallowed Crown at $5.50.
Better Land is next in the betting at $7 with Nostradamus from the Team Hawkes stable at $8.50 and Almalad at $9.
