Rich Enuff made his first public appearance for Team Snowden with a strong barrier trial victory at Royal Randwick this morning.

Rich Enuff contested the fourth barrier trial of the morning over 830 metres and he took up the running in the early stages of the trial from Ecuador, Let’s Make It Rain and Supara.

Let’s Make It Rain and Ecuador tried to close the gap on Rich Enuff in the concluding stages, but Rich Enuff held off his rivals without being asked for an extra effort to record a confidence building win for connections.

Rich Enuff was one of the star three-year-olds of the 2014 Spring Racing Carnival and he was only narrowly denied by Shooting To Win in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m), but he was ruled out of an autumn campaign due to a number of niggling injuries.

He returned to the races in the Group 3 Theshark.com.au Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on August 29 and he finished a credible second behind Bounding, but he was unable to replicate that performance in the Group 2 Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200m) at Flemington on September 12 and he was very poor in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on September 26 and the Group 1 Manikato Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on October 23.

Rich Enuff was transferred from Ken Keys to Team Snowden before the start of his autumn campaign and connections are desperate to claim a maiden Group 1 victory with the stallion prospect.

Let’s Make It Rain was unable to catch Rich Enuff in the final stages of the barrier trial, but he still found the line strongly to finish second.

The Not A Single Doubt colt was sent to the spelling paddock following his sixth place finish behind Exosphere in the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400) at Rosehill Gardens on September 12, but he now looks ready to return to the races.

Gai Waterhouse-trained Supara failed to fire in four race starts during the 2015 Spring Racing Carnival, but she made up good ground on the rail in the final stages to finish third, but her stablemate Ecuador stopped quickly at the 100 metre mark and was going backwards on the line.

Up And Coming Stakes winner Shards was kept under a heavy hold, but he was one of the only horses that made up ground from towards the tail of the field.
