Smart sprinter Rich Enuff has been retired and will commence stud duties at Woodside Park Stud in Victoria in the Spring.

The former Ken Keys trained stallion who was transferred to the Peter and Paul Snowden stable at Randwick for his Autumn Carnival preparation, unfortunately bled when fifth to stablemate Charlie Boy in the Group 3 $150,000 Liverpool City Cup (1300m) at Randwick last Saturday.
Rich Enuff was having his second run for Team Snowden after finishing a first up third to Big Money in the Group 3 $150,000 DX Solutions Southern Cross Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on February 13.
The Written Tycoon four year old was detected with blood from both nostrils after the race Liverpool City Cup and under the Australian Rules of Racing must endure a three month ban from racing.
Murray Tillett, general manager of Woodside Park Stud who share in the ownership of Rich Enuff, said that it was disappointing that he had to end his racing career that way but it was the right decision for the horse to send him to Stud for the upcoming season.
“It’s disappointing obviously but in the best interests of the horse,” Tillett told Racenet.
“He’d have had a three month ban and then it’s the start of the season (stud) so it wouldn’t have been fair to the horse.
“The real disappointing aspect is Peter Snowden was so confident the horse was about to reach the form that would have made him a Group I horse again, but these things happen in racing.”
Rich Enuff will join the draft at Woodside Park Stud and stand alongside of his sire Written Tycoon, Foreplay and Zoustar.
Rich Enuff was the winner of three of his twelve race starts and emerged as the favourite for 2014 Group 1 $1m BECK Caulfield Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield following a hat trick of wins.
The then three year old led all of the way to win the Listed $120,000 Essendon Nissan McKenzie Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley and backed that up with a win in the Group 2 $200,000 Danehill Stakes (1200m) at Flemington.
Then at his next start put up a dominant display to take out the Group 3 $175,000 BECK Caulfield Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield but then over raced in the early and middle stages of the Caulfield Guineas before getting run down by the Peter And Paul Snowden trained Shooting To Win.
From his three wins and four minor placings, Rich Enuff was able to earn $574,450 for his connections.
