Red Tracer Races To Keep Record Intact

Red Tracer will resume in the Listed Toy Show Quality Handicap

Chris Waller believes his talented mare Red Tracer will continue to impress when she returns from a spell to run in the Listed Toy Show Quality Handicap at Warwick Farm this Saturday.

The four-year-old Dane Shadow mare won three of her five race starts during her autumn preparation and has not finished outside the placings in any of her nine career runs.

Stable representative, Liam Prior, is confident that Red Tracer will keep her impressive record intact this weekend.

“We’re confident she will keep her perfect place record intact first up on Saturday,” Prior said.

“Both of her trials have been terrific, she’s going well, she is well within herself.

“It is not the best of draws  but if she is going to win some decent races she is going to have to overcome these types of things.

“Hopefully we see her slotting into midfield in the run with a bit of cover. Being late in the day they should be making up ground in the middle of the track.

“Provided she gets some luck in running she should be pretty hard to beat.”

How Red Tracer performs in Saturday’s race will determine her spring racing program.

“She will probably be on an Epsom (Handicap) path,” Prior said.

“Her first up run will tell us a lot.

“A race like the Epsom is probably a race we’ve targeted after her two trials and towards the end of her last prep when she showed she was probably going to get over a bit of ground.”

Red Tracer has already won more than $300,000 over her nine race starts.
