Wet track specialist Red Tracer showed that she will be a major force for the rest of the Sydney Autumn Carnival with her third consecutive win in the Group 2 $175,000 Millie Fox Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill today.

The wet conditions guaranteed that Red Tracer ($1.60 favourite) would return from a spell with a win and jockey Nash Rawiller had no concerns as the two time Group 1 winner cruised to the line for a one three quarter lengths win over A Time For Julia ($10) and Lucky Lago ($26).

The Chris Waller trained mare was having her first run back since winning the Group 1 $500,000 Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington in November and the leading Sydney trainer said that she could head to England after running in the Group 1 $1m Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on April 19.

“Realistically The Queen Of The Turf right at the end of the carnival over a mile, tough Randwick mile, weight for age, should be her race if we can hold her up and get her there and that will say whether she can go to Europe,” Waller said.

“She comes back every year. I think she has won it three years in a row, and I think today was her thirteen listed or Group win, so she’s a great horse.”

Red Tracer looked a bit big before the race and Waller said that she will definitely improve condition wise for the run.

“There will be a lot of improvement from today,” Waller said.

Rawiller has forged a great association with Red Tracer scoring his eighth win from nine rides on the mare and knew exactly when to let the her go in the straight before running away to score as she liked.

Stablemate Royal Descent ($4) settled at the tail of the field and made up some ground in the straight to finish fourth.
