Rageese had no luck whatsoever when he made his racing debut with a sixth place finish at Rosehill Gardens on November 29 last year, but he produced an improved performance when he finished second behind Tarquin in the Group 2 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on March 14 before he was only narrowly denied by Pride Of Dubai in the Group 1 Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on April 6.

The Street Cry colt will carry the top weight of 59 kilograms in The Rosebud and he will be partnered by Tommy Berry when he jumps from barrier second.

Voilier is the second top-weight in The Rosebud and he will be having his second race start this preparation following his fourth place finish behind the in-form Japonisme in the Bob Ingham Handicap (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on July 18.

The talented colt made his racing debut with a dominant win in the Sire Custodians Plate (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on December 6 and he was second behind Headwater in the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on February 21, but he was sent to the spelling paddock after he finished at the tail of the field in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on March 7.

Sebring Sun was touted as a Golden Slipper contender before the start of his racing career and he was unable to reach that level as a juvenile following relatively flat efforts in both the Listed Lonhro Plate (1100m) and the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m), but he was able to claim his maiden race win when he stormed home late to take out a maiden at Canterbury on July 29.

Another horse that will be taking winning form into The Rosebud is Ron Quinton-trained Let’s Make It Rain, who claimed his first race win when he was successful at Canterbury on July 25.

Let’s Make It Rain had form around Odyssey Moon and Kimberley Star as an early two-year-old and those horses are both considered Golden Rose Stakes contenders during the 2015 Spring Racing Carnival.

Tatoosh and Vanbrugh finished fourth behind Let’s Make It Rain at their last start and will have the chance to turn-the-tables on their rivals in The Rosebud, while Zoutenant returned to a semblance of his best form with a third place finish behind Japonisme and Tempt Me Not on Saturday.
