Narrogin

Narrogin Racecourse is located in Western Australia and is situated 195 kilometres south east of Perth. The racecourse is operated by Narrogin Racing, which held its first meeting on September 28, 2008. Narrogin Racecourse is the first course in Western Australia to incorporate both thoroughbred and harness racing at the same track.

The concept of introducing a dual code racecourse was first considered in February 2007, when the existing Narrogin Harness Racing Club and the Narrogin Turf Club met with Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA). This initial meeting resulted in the merging of the two clubs to form Narrogin Racing.

Narrogin Racecourse now holds a total of 20 race meetings per year, which comprises of six thoroughbred meets and 14 harness meets. The track has three feature race days, including the December Saturday Christmas meeting, the Dual Code meeting on Australia Day and the Narrogin Turf Cup, which is held in April.

Racing at Narrogin Racecourse takes place on a grass surface over the flat and the course has a track circumference of 1,511 metres.

As well as offering quality harness and thoroughbred racing, Narrogin Racecourse also provides fully catered marquee packages on feature race days.
