Twenty-three fillies and mares have been entered for the Coolmore Classic which also includes Group 1 winners Egg Tart and Foxplay from the Chris Waller stable.

Stablemates Daysee Doom and Dixie Blossoms are set to clash on the weekend and both mares are coming off first up wins.

Daysee Doom resumes for the Autumn with a tough win in the Group 2 $200,000 Vinery Stud Millie Fox Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill on February 24 while Dixie Blossoms ran over the top of her opposition to take out the Group 2 $200,000 Guy Walter Proven Thoroughbreds Stakes (1400m) at Randwick the following week.

Egg Tart and Foxplay have been struggling to find their winning form but will be better suited back against the fillies and the mares.

Dual Oaks winner Egg Tart has had one run from a spell for a fourth to Crack Me Up in the Group 3 $150,000 Liverpool City Cup (1300m) at Randwick on March 3 while Foxplay was well beaten second up when eighth to Happy Clapper in the Group 1 $500,000 Bisley Workwear Canterbury Stakes (1300m) at Randwick last Saturday.

James Cummings has two nominations for the Coolmore Classic, Alizee and Raiment and Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott also have two with Prompt Response and Shumookh.

The Tony McEvoy trained Bring Me Roses has been placed at both her runs this campaign but will have to take on the older mares following her last start third against the three year olds in the Group 1 $1m Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on March 3.

The in-form Lindsay Park also has only one filly among the nominations for the Coolmore Classic, Rimraam, who ran a brave race last start when third in the Group 1 $500,000 James Boag’s Premium Surround Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on March 3.

Top Kiwi co-trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman are looking for another Sydney Autumn Carnival feature race win with last start Guy Walter Stakes third placegetter Francaletta among the nominations for the Coolmore Classic.
