Quick Feet stamped herself as a filly to follow through a competitive two-year-old campaign, but has not been seen at the races since failing to make much of an impression and ninth in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) on March 19th.

Snowden has been thrilled with the condition and ability displayed by the daughter of Northern Meteor in the lead-up to her competitive return in The Rosebud this weekend.

“She’s a very talented filly, probably underrated a touch and a little bit forgotten,” Snowden told Racing Ahead.

“She’s obviously first-up but she’s been trained up well and has had the benefit of two nice trials.

“She’s hasn’t seen a wet track at all so it’s a little bit of a guessing game.

“She’s definitely going well and is very genuine and honest, so she’s going to give it everything she’s got.”

Trialling well in the lead-up to her competitive debut, Quick Feet lined up amongst classy company in the Gsssa Winners Maiden Plate (1000m) on November 25th, but produced a particularly smart turn of foot to comfortably win.

Immediately returned to the paddock with a view towards the major Autumn Carnival two-year-old races, the filly out of Delaluna again trialled well but clearly required a run when seventh in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude F (1100m) on February 13th.

Progressing to undoubtedly her best effort to date when a close second behind French Fern in the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) on March 5th, Quick Feet found a good position in transit in the Golden Slipper, but failed to match the late efforts of stable mate Capitalist and company; finishing midfield.

Quick Feet could very well receive the run of the race in The Rosebud from the ideal barrier 3 and with Kerryn McEvoy aboard, but has been charged with overcoming 58kgs.

Quick Feet is currently available at 2016 The Rosebud odds of $9 for success with Ladbrokes Australia.
