The 2016 Widden Stakes field has been released and 13 promising fillies are set to contest the Group 3 event that will be held at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.

Kentucky Miss made her racing debut with a very impressive victory in the More Than Just Winning Maiden (1000m) at Warwick Farm on January 7 and she is the only debut winner that has been included in the Widden Stakes field.
Brenton Avdulla has been booked to ride Kentucky Miss and he will need to be at his brilliant best after the two-year-old was allocated barrier 12.
Another filly that is to take winning form into the Widden Stakes is Tammy Boyd-trained Vixen Lass, who is set to make her metropolitan racing debut.
Vixen Lass started her racing career with two race starts at Scone in December and she claimed her maiden race win when she saluted in impressive style in the Wellington Boot Carnival Maiden (900m) on January 15.
Gai Waterhouse has an excellent record in the Widden Stakes and she will be represented in the 2016 edition of the race by So Serene and Global Glamour.
So Serene made her racing debut with a second place finish behind Blue Diamond Stakes favourite Extreme Choice in the Inglis Nursery (1000m) at Royal Randwick on December 12, while Global Glamour won a barrier trial at Royal Randwick on January 12.
Another stable that is set to have multiple runners in the Widden Stakes is Godolphin, who have both Chipanda and Nonpareil in the race.
Chipanda made her racing debut with a third place finish behind Star Turn and Medaille in the Pierro Stakes (1100m) at Royal Randwick on October 24 and Nonpareil has had just one public barrier trial.
One of the most interesting horses in the 2016 Widden Stakes field is Gabrielle Englebrecht-trained Aghna.
Aghna made her racing debut with a third place finish behind Capitalist and Niccolance in the Wyong Magic Millions Classic (1100m) on December 17, but she missed out on a place in the $2 million Magic Millions Classic field due to a lack of prizemoney.
The 2016 Widden Stakes field is rounded out by Cudabeen (barrier 13), Happy Feet (barrier two), Foxplay (barrier four), Honesty Prevails (barrier seven), Smart Amelia (barrier 12) and Spright (barrier six).
