Royal Snitzel made her racing debut with a comfortable two and a half lengths win in the Hygain Plate (1002m) at Donald on June 19 and made it two wins from as many starts when she scored a strong win in the Ascend Sales Trophies Handicap (1100m) at Caulfield on July 5.

Price told TVN this morning that Royal Snitzel was set for the Quezette Stakes after her last start win at Caulfield and he believes that the daughter of Snitzel has the talent to score her maiden win at Group level this weekend.

“She is flying and I think that she is black type coming,” Price said.

“I hope that she wins.

“She worked super here this morning and she is a very smart little filly.

“We gave her a little break after her last win specifically to run in the Quezette and my opinion of her is that she is a black type filly.

“She had a trial last Tuesday, a little jump out just to bring her up to scratch again and she worked super here.

“She will be a nice first three chance.”

Royal Snitzel was included in the nominations for the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) that were released last week ad she is available at a quote of $21 in the betting market for the race with Ladbrokes Australia.

Price had a successful day at Flemington last Saturday, with Eximus taking out the Jacinta Nugent & Lesley Millson Handicap and he is set to have a very strong hand at Caulfield this weekend.

The leading Melbourne trainer is set to have three runners in the Group 3 Vain Stakes (1100m); with Nordic Empire, Jabali and Cornrow all included in the nominations for the $150,000 race that were released yesterday.

Nordic Empire returned from injury with a classy win in the Mitchelton Wines Handicap (1000m) at Moonee Valley on August 2, while Cornrow and Jabali will both be returning from the races after a stint in the spelling paddock.

Price has one of the strongest teams heading into the 2014 Spring Racing Carnival; with the likes of Lankan Rupee, Samaready, Lion Of Belfort, Pakal and Jazz Song all set for strong spring campaigns.
